If I was a color, I would be red so that I can stand out. My favorite place I have traveled to is Turkey because that is where my favorite side of the family lives. Yasmin; my favorite cousin, lives there and every time I go, I get to see her. When I was nine, I went to Ballantyne Elementary School. We had a chess club ran partially by the librarian and partially by student leaders. As the only person in the club, I had to overcome many challenges during our early meetings. During my time as leader of the chess club, I inspired others to join and the chess club went from embarrassing to meriting. That was the day I realized my potential and never stopped living up to it to this day. From the very beginning of chess club in 1st grade, to the very beginning of high school I never stopped being confident in myself. That is why red is my favorite color because it stands out, and so do I.
